I thought the same about the bbc weather. A little hysterical – they were saying things like “If you do start to feel unwell from the heat, go straight to the doctor” Straight to the park more like! (Though I felt sorry for non freelancers who spent most of the week in the tube which got up to 38 degrees I believe.) And last week when I went to Paris (carrying your book!) the bbc said it would be 23 or 24 and raining and it was a bleedin heatwave!

My BF and I saw the British warnings too, and we had to laugh a bit – and we’re west coast Norwegians, which basically means if we get anywhere near 25′C for more than two days in a row we can’t believe our luck.

You sound so much like me! Seattle doesn’t often get as warm as where I am from, but when the sun shines here, regardless of temperature, people are just happier! I think when you live in a place like this, you truly appreciate sunshine~

I understand this perfectly! I come from Venezuela (summer al year around…) and now living in Europe (I visited your wonderful country, have a sister living in Queensland ) and when is hot and I’m just sweating I feel HAPPY!

I think it’s only natural to have more of a spring in your step when the weather starts to warm. I think our climate is absolutely magical for at least three quarters of the year – particularly in Sydney.

It’s been very rainy here in New England, unusual for the season. People usually complain when it’s warm and humid but I love it. Thanks for sharing your joy about the sunshine- maybe it will eventually find its way here too. I’m curious- tell me more about the “milo”. What is it?
