a beautiful calm space using blue, orange and green…

…photographed by Yannick Labrousse. The colours are fabulous together, and the combination of retro, contemporary and Asian silk is sublime. unexpected. uncomplicated. and 100% livable. love it!

Today in Amsterdam the sun is shining bright! I have the windows open here on the boat and the water reflections are dancing on my screen, keyboard and hands as I type. It’s really magical and I wish I could capture it somehow to show you. I feel like I am typing little beams of sunshine to you. If it’s cold and and cloudy where you are, then I hope these little rays of dancing light reach you through this post.

you know, that space is so serene, i love it! BUT…what my eye gets drawn to immediately is that tiny little patch of the green leaves on the trees through the windows….it has been 6 months since i have seen the sun illuminating green leaves….someday soon…i hope, spring will really arrive again.

this is simply to gorgeous, my favorite colours put together so wonderfully! I really love the way the white painted wood really enhances the colors—especially that lamp.

I am having a beautiful day in Boston too! I just wish I could see more of it… I see a cubicle wall.. that’s about it.

Those colours work so beautifully together! The orange lamp – how perfect.

ps/ I want to attempt to make a fairy light heart in my living room!

hi E! perhaps you could paint some blue sky and puffy clouds on your cubicle wall, alla the island kitchen, it might do the trick! I’m excited to read that you are going to try to make a fairy light heart – let me know how you go, or even better, send some pics!

Yoli, it is super tricky to capture on camera as the ‘dancing’ effect can’t be seen. I need to video it! Oooh perhaps I’ll try that.

    thank you mia!

    Ruth, you’re welcome!

Danielle, I was drawn to that too, love the use of the bamboo – one day i would like some bamboo, in pots, or a special area in the garden for some.

    Reya, me too!

jenny – i’m so glad you like!

thank you Please Sir! you have a wonderful site yourself :-)

Gabrielle -I like the use of the two coffee tables too.
