Absolutely wonderful idea. You totally transported me! If only you could record scent…ah, the paris cafe scent should be bottled and sold…strong coffee, buttery croisants and a hint of men’s cologne would be my recollection.

oh yeah! so many great comments! It is rather fun.

I have decided I will be doing this all this week, ending with a few soundscapes from the houseboat here in Amsterdam.

Jennifer – the guys are great aren’t they?! The one guy is talkng about the food and lifestyle in Corsica – can you hear him mention ‘jambon’ ‘le tomate’ etc (ham, tomato…) – he is saying he just loves the simple life there, and the simple food – he talks about the fresh night air, and is so full of enthusiasm for it. I adore their conversation.

nancy – by visiting this blog you are certainly hanging out in my head a little! although the blog is tame and organised – its not so neat in this melon of mine

marie – i can’t remember the name of the cafe but it was in rue tournon, up toward the large government building at the end.

diane, i’m so pleased!happy birthday!!i hope you like the next one too then!
