Hearts have been a topic in my art work for a while. I have a series where Hearts have taken center stage in a number of mixed media paintings. I have just finished creating a hat call (fascinator: I carry my heart on my head)I also create a pin cushion called (warm heart) made out of felted old wool sweaters. I started collecting photos of hearts (not man-made) that started showing up in my life just as my first son was leaving to go away to college. I was hurting so much at that time and I just thought that they were showing up to help me through. They are so meaningful to me as I don't look for them anywhere, they simply show up.
